BOOK CLUB BOOK REPORT GUIDELINES
You are required to comlete a book report on your book club book in order to participate in book club each month. Book reports are due on or before the date of the club meeting.
YOUR REPORT MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
1) TITLE: This needs to be properly capitalized and underlined.
2) AUTHOR: This needs to be properly capitalized.
3) CHARACTERS: A paragraph telling whom the main characters are. Describe them briefly (use charactor trait words). Use information from the text. ***THIS PARAGRAPH MUST BE AT LEAST 5 SENTENCES!
4) SETTING: A paragraph that describes when and where the story takes place. Use information from the text. ***THIS PARAGRAPH MUST BE AT LEAST 5 SENTENCES!
5) SUMMARY: A paragraph telling briefly what the story is about. Include main events (problem and solution). ****THIS PARAGRAPH MUST BE AT LEAST 5 SENTENCES and NO MORE THAN 10 SENTENCES!
6) OPINION: A paragraph telling what you liked and disliked about the book. ***THIS PARAGRAPH MUST BE AT LEAST 5 SENTENCES!
****VERY IMPORTANT****
Each of the above are to be written in separate paragraph. Your report should have a TOTAL of ONLY 4 PARAGRAPHS!!!!! They are as follows:
1st Paragraph = Characters (at least 5 sentences)
2nd Paragraph = Setting (at least 5 sentences)
3rd Paragraph = Summary (at least 5 sentences and no more than 10)
4th Paragraph = Opinion (at least 5 sentences)
